Firekeeper's Daughter by Angeline Boulley

Did not finish book.
DNF a couple hours in, so no rating. I just don't care about these characters. It's kind of on me for picking up a book based on the title/cover and thinking it's a fantasy, but it's actually not. It's YA fiction. (Although the title says she's "The Firekeeper's Daughter" as if that's a title, it actually means "My dad's last name is Firekeeper, which is pretty cool.")

It's just all reading very young to me, and I don't care about the gossip-y drama and the cattiness or the fawning over a generically attractive guy who you immediately know is the love interest despite the fact that Daunis is Not Like Other Girls and can't be swayed. Maybe if I'd read it when I was 14, I'd feel differently.
