Harry's Trees by Jon Cohen

5.0

I LOVED this book. I didn’t expect to LOVE IT but I did. I loved that I was immersed into Harry’s world! And well, I just loved how serendipitous it was, not quite fairytale and not quite real...or maybe it was a little bit of both.

I loved the story, I loved ALL of the characters but I will admit Olive, Harry and Oriana and Ronnie were my favorites and then Hoop, I liked him too.

I loved the themes of serendipity, grief, redemption, friendship, and family.

I loved the setting, the beautiful Pennsylvania Forest, and how Cohen brought me there with his writing and descriptions.

I loved the book within a book aspect

I loved the mystery and the Magic!

As a Federal bureaucrat myself I loved the humorous, yet very real, characterization of Harry.

This book was magical and beautiful and I am not sure why I’ve never read any John Cohen before.
