I really enjoyed the start of this series, though it has similar things about it that's been done before that didn't take away from the enjoyment that I had while reading. I loved the world building and how engaging and immersive it was I liked how fierce Lor was and the love she had for her siblings and felt for her and the life she had been dealt since a young age.
I'm always a fan of any book with trials and this one didn't disappoint. There were a few issues with the pacing and the plot was a little predictable but I'm really looking forward to seeing where the story goes next as at the end you realise that Lor has been hiding secrets all along about who she really is so I can't wait to see how that progresses further also to learn more about Nadhir!
I read as well as listened to the audiobook and highly recommend it as the narrators did such a good job and I really think this helped with my overall enjoyment!
