P.S., I Love You by Cecelia Ahern

5.0

This is one of the most original and beautiful romance novels I have ever read.

P.S. I love you follows Holly as she deals with the death of her husband Gerry. She discovers that Gerry left her 10 notes, one for each remaining month of the year. The months act as a ‘list’ to help guide and help her through life without him.

This book made me laugh and cry. It was so emotional and heart wrenching, but could be equally light-hearted. The concept of the novel, where the story begins with someone loosing their soulmate, is so unique. I adored so many of the characters, and felt like I want to give them a huge hug during their darkest times. The love between Holly and Gerry feels so real and pure.

I love the movie adaptation of this book. Both the book and the movie will be with me forever. I would highly recommend this book to anyone. It reinforces how important it is love/not take for granted the people in your life, because no one is guaranteed a tomorrow.
