Where There's a Will by Jessie Walker
5.0
Adrift for months after losing someone close to him, Will Foster finds himself riding through the small town of Shiloh, a place that still haunts him a decade after leaving. A glutton for punishment, Will decides to stay when the opportunity arises, even though staying will do more harm than good. But Shiloh and the boy Will could never forget have dug their claws into him, and there's no going back.
Drowning himself in enough drugs, liquor, and pussy until he can't see straight, Waylon McAllister is up for anything if it's reckless and will help him outrun his memories and his demons. The last thing he expects to is the one boy who used to be his whole world before he ruined everything, to come back into town, or for Will to turn his world upside down once again. Only this time Way isn't sure it won't destroy him entirely.
Oh my fuck! This book was so heavy.
Will and Way are broken in two completely different ways, but it's the shared feelings of loss and grief that connect them together again. There's so much longing and angst between the two of them while they try to sort their shit out, and poor Way... He's so angry and close to losing himself entirely thanks to his trauma and self destruction.
Things were looking up, but that ending! I hope the boys get some kind of happy ending after everything they've gone through
