Fatal Throne: The Wives of Henry VIII Tell All by Candace Fleming, M.T. Anderson, Stephanie Hemphill
5.0
This was a surprising secondhand book find that I grabbed because I love historical fiction, but it turned out to be so much better than I thought it would!
The book is divided into six sections, each told from the perspective of a wife of Henry the Eighth. It was interesting to see the moments that the current wife knew there was a new one on the horizon, and horrible to see the means Henry took to ensuring he was allowed to remarry a new woman. He was so desperate for a son!
While I already had a general knowledge for each of these women, this book told their history in a way that still felt like I was reading a fiction book, while still being informative. I was pleasantly surprised!
