On first glance, the blurb for In a Rush didn't phase me much - but I should have known Kate Canterbary would give me more than I bargained for.

📖 𝗦𝘆𝗻𝗼𝗽𝘀𝗶𝘀: Ryan needs a wife to help rehab his playboy image and prepare for his future post-football. Emme is the perfect option - his best friend for over a decade, who's dealing with a breakup and who he's been in love with the entire time he's known her.
🌟 𝗥𝗲𝘃𝗶𝗲𝘄: I've never regretted picking up a Kate Canterbary book. Maybe that's because everything she writes is so much more than meets the eye.
You guys know I loved In a Jam. And man, I also really enjoyed Shucked. When I read the blurb for In a Rush, I will admit I wasn't super excited. But once I closed this book, I was in awe of how she turns out these incredibly romantic, incredibly relatable, and superbly written masterpieces.
If you like a guy that pines, let me introduce you to Ryan Ralston. The guy... he's been in love with her forever, and though there's a reason behind their fake marriage, his real reason is because he truly wants to be married to her, even if it's only for a short while. Cue the swooning.
This had billionaire vibes, as Ryan spoiled Emme to the max. It had all of the tension you could hope for. It had a couple moments where I fanned myself, and a few more where I shed a tear. And that, my friends, is all you can ask for.
