The Children of Red Peak by Craig DiLouie
4.5
This was a raw and devastating book. A very respectful case study of trauma and recovery and how hard of a process it can be. It successfully avoided being gratuitous and conveyed the horror and trauma of cults without feeling voyeuristic. The ending left me feeling like my nerves were frayed, an overwhelming yet poignant conclusion.
