Let me straight off by saying that when I read the Off- Campus series and Colin Fitzgerald was introduced… I was so interested to know how his story would be out in future books. To answer my questions, Summer waltzed right in and I knew I was going to love the story that unfolded between them 😉.

With this being the first in the Briar U series ( spin off from Off- Campus) I really loved Summer’s carefree attitude and sassy remarks that make everyone else shut up immediately haha. Not to mention when Summer met Brenna, I knew immediately that these two ladies were going to be best friends, and become the epitome of creating trouble 😈 ( in a good way 😉). While reading, it broke my heart a bit when Summer revealed the struggles she’s gone through and the fact that people have judged her based on her outer appearance made me fume! Summer definitely had a lot more depth to her than most people would have thought based on false judgments they passed on her. Summer is an amazing, strong female character and it made me glad that Brenna was an equally strong woman who supported Summer ( while also being brutally honest with her).

On a side note, I discovered my love for a trope in this book, the one where “he throws you over his shoulder” 😆Ummm excuse me ☝🏻 Fitz… IMA NEED YOU TO THROW ME OVER YOUR SHOULDER SIR 🔥 Even though Summer didn’t like when Fitz did that to her, I’m convinced homegirl was enjoying the view… if you know what I mean 😏

Part of me just wanted to scream at both Fitz and Summer and yell, “OH MY GOD! JUST TALK IT OUT AND GET TOGETHER ALREADY” that was my inner frustration in the beginning of the book due to the misunderstanding that happened from New Years Eve, to each Fitz and Summer thinking that one is not interested in the other ( misunderstanding because they’ve totally were crushing on each other from the beginning!) Another thing I loved about Summer and Fitz’s relationship was how they would push each other’s buttons, or how they went from 1 to 100 within a short span during a conversation haha those two definitely made me smile. In addition, the love that these two characters had made me blushing ( at specific moments 😏), or laughing from funny situations happening to them ( you’ll know once you read the book 👍🏻)

I was really intrigued with Fitz’s character personality because, compared to the other guys, he was more quiet and reserved. Even though Fitz has been one to make an effort to be social with his friends and what not, I found it endearing learning about his interests with video gaming, art. Before reading this book, I had a feeling I was going to love Fitz and I can 100% say with certainty that I’d love to be with him. Shoot Can he draw me like one of his French girls?! 😆 ( if you know, you know lol). On another note, I truly loved Fitz coming out of his shell. In the beginning. Fitz was use to remaining in the background, keeping to myself ( kinda similar to John Tucker, which was why they got along famously) , but with Summer, she brought out this side of Fitz that even took him by surprise. Definitely loved seeing our Fitz embrace a new side to himself, a side that mean stepping out of the shadows and into the sunlight with Summer 💕
