Hard Times by Charles Dickens, Gage McWeeny, Jeff Nunokawa

5.0

It took me quite a long time to finish this one as I listened to a (ingeniously narrated) audiobook. I loved it, for the most part. I'll admit to tuning out once in a while when Dickens got off an a social rant, but the story line itself was fascinating. It really picked up in pace towards the end, and I found myself sitting in the car longer than needed so I could find out what happened next! At some points, I could really tell that it was written in installments, and I liked that. A must-read for any Dickens fan!
