I was really excited to see how Aurora's story came to a head finally and while I won't say it disappointed me, this book just fell a little flat to me compared to the other stories in the series. My favourite parts of the book were actually the moments where they were having genuine conversations and the emotional shit was hitting the fan, even though those moments still could have been more intense than they were. 

Honestly, the thing this book did the best was hype me up for the Sabine Valley series because it did such a good job of setting it up. I am now depressed because I know Katee has paused their work on that series and all I can do is hope and pray that one day she finds the inspiration she needs for the story to continue, Until then, I will read the two books that are there because I am apparently a masochist and love to torture myself. 💜
