Wild and Wrangled by Lyla Sage
2.25
I don't like having to write negative reviews, but honestly, I was really underwhelmed by Wild and Wrangled. It's such a shame considering it's the last book of the series. Overall, I was just a bit bored reading it and needed more to happen.
It's unfortunate when the main characters don't stand out in their own book. I found myself more invested in Cam and Dusty's interactions with the other characters than with each other. I love a second chance romance but I felt the yearning and want was a bit lacking. I want to feel consumed by their past love and their journey getting back together, and I didn't feel that at all. A third act break-up can have it's place but here it was completely unnecessary and added nothing to the story.
I also feel like throughout the series, there were storylines/topics where the surface was only scratched and could've been delved into deeper to enrich the books.
On the positive side, I really liked the friend group interactions, and any scene with Teddy, Gus, Riley and Amos, I always enjoy.
For me, this series progressively got better, with Lost and Lassoed being my favourite, but sadly it regressed with Wild and Wrangled.
