Hold Me Under by Riley Nash
5.0
4.5 Stars
I love books where the relationship is entirely unique to the couple, right down to the labels, the gestures of affection, and the unorthodox ways of saying “I love you”. (Some other book examples of this: All For The Game, Six of Crows, Gideon The Ninth, Husband Material)
If you liked All For The Game, this is especially up your alley. (Victor reminded me so much of Andrew!) It’s high angst with great payoff and has a fair amount of trigger warning content. The enemies to lovers arc is great, as the story revolves around love, hate, and hiding in limbo together between the two.
Very poetic writing, I have so many highlights.
If I had to nitpick, I wish the story was longer so there was better pacing between the switch from hate to not-hate. I could read way more about this story.
Spice: 4/5
CW: rape mentions, drug use, heavy suicidal ideation
