Orphan Train by Christina Baker Kline

5.0

Bottom line, this was a really good read. I had never heard of the orphan trains and the history of those children is fascinating to me. As an adoptive mom, I cringed at how many of these children were treated as indentured servants. I just wanted to reach back in time and adopt them all. The descriptions of the time period in different parts of the country seemed spot on. The author really did her homework.

I enjoyed the similar story lines of Vivian and Molly and I loved how they found each other. My heart broke for each of their losses and I cheered when happiness came their way. I left out a synopis of the book, but I encourage you to pick this one up.
