The American Roommate Experiment by Elena Armas
5.0
Fuck it this book gets five stars! Something I don't often or usually give to rom-com books. Kicking my feet and squealing just like I did through most of this book. I have never fallen in love so quickly and hard with a 'book boyfriend' than I have Lucas. He is so completely dreamy and everything I would have wanted in a partner. Rosie was awkward in the most lovable way, so sweet, kind, and passionate. I loved both of these characters so much and adored reading their story and their journey through the pages. It was heartwarming and heartbreaking and beautiful. I loved the concept of the experimental dates and I loved how they were all perfect, despite ending in disaster most of the time. It never seemed to teeter them and seemed to always make them fall in love with each other more. While me and Rosie weren't exactly alike in many ways, I just saw myself so much in her reactions to things or the ways she went about things, and that made me love this all the more.
I didn't realize this was part of a series and I'm not sure I'll like the first book as much but I'm definitely going to be reading it now.
