Thanks to Amanda Chaperon for the ARC copy in exchange for an honest review.

Aspen McKay has one thing on her mind as she drives to Dusk Valley - hunt down a 20+ year serial killer that has wrecked havoc on the small town. What she doesn’t anticipate is being a victim herself. Crew Lawless was born and raised in Dusk Valley and is the firefighter in the small town. When he came upon a fire, his sole intent was making sure everyone was okay and the fire was extinguished. Little did he know his world would be flipped upside down by Aspen McKay. Tension is high between the two but can they work together to figure out the decades long mystery?

Amanda does it again in a new series. Aspen and Crew might be my new favorite of her characters. We met Crew in a previous book so I was eager to get to know him more and I love the chemistry between Crew and Aspen. And don’t get me started on the spice 🥵 I love the balance of mystery with the romance - the whodunnit had me guessing the entire time. I didn’t figure it out before the reveal but I loved this book the entire time I was reading. If you’ve loved Amanda’s previous books or you’re looking for a mystery with a spicy romance, highly recommend this book!

Book will be released March 6, 2025.
