Remembrance by Michelle Madow
5.0
It is so funny that Michelle Madow says that this book is based off Taylor Swift's song and music video for "Love Story" because what I love about Taylor Swift's music is that it always makes me smile- and that is exactly what Remembrance made me do. Smile. A lot. It was just such a cute story. One that I think any reader will fall in love with.
The characters were all love or hate for me. I hated Jeremy right off the bat. He grew on me a smidge toward the middle of the book, but he was just so self-involved. I think I disliked him because he could not hold a candle to Drew. So I might have been a little biased, but even when Drew was acting distant and cold, I still liked him more than Jeremy.
I really liked Lizzie and I love how much detail went into each of her memories or flashbacks. They were one of my favorite things about the book. I also loved how they knew so many random facts about each other. It was so cute. Because I loved Drew and Lizzie so much, I got so frustrated when they would not get together. I wanted to scream at my kindle for them to just kiss already. Or, really to just do anything! Don't worry though, you will not be disappointed.
The story flows so well and it is beautifully written. I had to stop reading it a few times because I did not want it to be over. I watched Taylor Swift's music video during my reading breaks actually. But then, I had to jump right back into the book because I had to know how it would all turn out. I couldn't wait!
Remembrance is such a charming and lovely story that I know it will have you smiling the whole way through. I could not get rid of the silly grin after I finished the book. It put me in such a great mood. I loved it!
