I’ve always been a fan of Iris Johansson’s books, and this one is particularly fantastic. Kira and Mack, the duo we’ve come to know and love, are back in action, doing what they do best—hunting. However, their latest mission takes an unexpected turn when Jack Harlan approaches them with a request. He needs their help in finding the person responsible for killing his brother and the devastating explosion at the Paris museum. Initially reluctant to take on the job, Kira is swayed by her friend Sarah’s persuasive arguments. As Kira and Jack exchange banner, their connection runs deeper than mere friendship. There’s a spark beneath their banter, hinting at a potential romance.
This story has it all - a slow-burning romance, adventure, a hunt for a killer, treasure hunters, and kidnapping. My heart pounded from the very first page to the very last. It’s a phenomenal story.
