These are just so fun. They’re so unserious and I haven’t yet felt like the stakes are too high that I’m worried or anxious while reading. There are serious topics mentioned, don’t get me wrong, and maybe not everyone will appreciate the lightness with which they’re handled…but here, it works for me. I too wish we could just cut off the heads of rapists and move on with life, and that the pain and trauma would be solved with a loving found family. I absolutely love the new characters we got in this one and I can’t wait for the next book to see where we go!
