The Rosary Girls by Richard Montanari

4.0

Richard Montanari tells the gripping tale of a hard knock homicide detective and his brand new rookie partner. The cliches are evident but that didn't stop the book from being compelling. I really enjoyed the dialogue here because it wasn't cheesy and oft-putting like a lot of similar types of books. The characters were well developed and the antagonist was grotesquely evil. There were a couple red herrings involved in the mystery that had me guessing. The ending didn't go how I expected. Overall, this was a really good crime thriller. I look forward to reading more from Montanari.
