Interesting overview on how women have been viewed in science (mostly by men for the majority of human history) and how that shaped our cultural values. I liked the discussion on biology vs. culture and the myth of all scientists being unbiased (especially for research on human nature which always involves interpretation in some way). Personally, I did not care as much for the second half of the book which focused on parenthood and sexual behaviours but I see how it adds to the overall discussion. There were a couple of times I wished the book would go a bit deeper and I felt like the connections of the chapters wasn't always super clear. I preferred the author's newer book "Superior", which makes me believe that she is steadily improving her craft. Looking forward to her next book!
