Cecily by Annie Garthwaite
4.0
Am I about to develop an obsession with Tudor fiction about scheming women? OH YEAH.
I read these book completely out of order, but it lent 'CECILY' a strange, but wholly wonderful layer of depth to the story. I know how the lives of these characters turn out (the next book, 'The King's Mother' is just as good) and so there's an oddity to reading about them in their youth and the hopes Cecily has for them. If anything, it enhanced the reading experience. I'll be eagerly awaiting Annie Garthwaite's next offerings.
