“You must offer your soul for me to keep,”
A Soul to Keep is a slow burn monster romance about a Duskwalker (a creature with an animal skull for a head head and many other physical attributes) who takes a human “sacrifice” every ten years. But, what the humans don’t know, is that he takes this sacrifice in an effort to combat his loneliness and with the hope that one of them will want to stay by his side and become his bride.
How can you make a monster as wholesome as Orpheus? I fell so hard for him from the very beginning and he only got cuter the further into the story I got.
“I have desired you from the first moment you smiled at me, my little doe.”
His nickname for Reia made me melt. Every time he said it, I was giggling on the inside.
I cannot wait to read the next book about the unnamed Mavka who I already love for being so clueless.
P.S. This is perfect for fans of The Ancient Magus Bride. But add spice.
