I picked this book up because I remembered how much I enjoyed The Twisted Ones by T Kingfisher when I grabbed it from the library a few years ago. I enjoyed this one possibly even more. I loved the antiques and oddities museum setting and I thought the horror aspects were creative. I really connected with the main character, possibly because I had just been left by my husband as well so her situation of needing to start over and dealing with the loss and betrayal were all very close to my own experiences. I loved the other characters, T. Kingfisher is really good at coming up with characters that feel unique yet like actual people you might meet, and letting their good qualities shine.
