“Some people were uncomfortable with the idea of grief. Some people didn’t understand love either.”
Losing people you love is hard. Aurora De La Torre knows moving back to a place that was once home isn’t going to be easy. Starting your whole life over isn’t supposed to be. But a small town in the mountains might be the perfect remedy for a broken heart. Checking out her landlord across the driveway just might cure it too.
“And maybe love always had a price, but it shouldn’t have been that high.”
Okay, wow. I do not do slow burn romances but I did this one because of Maia and I’m not mad at all! Rhodes was the most caring, most loving grumpy pants I’ve ever met & I loved him. Aurora definitely deserved her happy ending with Rhodes and Amos & her backstory really broke my heart. I can’t wait to read more from this author and even more slow-burn romance!
Note: check TW/CW! This is a long, slow burn romance that contains grief, the death of a parent and a toxic relationship. These themes are not suitable for everyone.
This review was written honestly & voluntarily based on my own enjoyment of the book.
