The Body Book: The Law of Hunger, the Science of Strength, and Other Ways to Love Your Amazing Body by

funny informative inspiring lighthearted fast-paced

You know those kids books that are like “my amazing body” or “what’s inside my body”? They always have cartoons of muscles and skeletons and they teach you like the basic functions of your human body. This book is that same book but for adults. Absolutely the easiest way to describe it. That said it was well informed and scientific. There was nothing in here that flagged as “of an era” health information because it was really grounded and clear. And somehow that fun, inspiring voice of Cameron Diaz was like a great delivery system for the information. It’s not that she told me anything I didn’t know, but it was fun and made me feel ready to try some new things and love my body a little bit more. So I’m not sure why I picked it up, but like if you want a feel good, scientifically grounded inspirational read about being healthy then by all means this was good!
