Love a good woman falling into madness story, and this was a solid entry into that genre. The narrator was interesting and unreliable, there was a slightly unique angle of deconstructing body image and shame and loneliness through her perspective, but I can’t say this was all that different from other “crazy white young woman” books. I did really like the ending, but I can’t say I will go out of my way to recommend this widely.
