Loved this so much, it had all my favorite: fantasy, magic, light and dark, portals and monsters. I am a sucker for a morally gray trope but I am also a huge fan of the MMC who is misunderstood seems dark and terrifying but in reality he is just a marshmallow and people just don't see it yet and this MMC nailed it! This FMC and MMC has some truly sweet moments you may just get a cavity but adored them. The FMC has been locked away in a tower most of her life and been taught she is only to serve her husband and to not be heard but of course she rises to the occasion and becomes a new person and will no longer be silenced. Oh and our dear MMC loves this side of her and wants it always. This is a slow burn with lots of when will they finally admit their feels! This had so many emotions, it really was a rollercoaster and yes I was crying at the end. I couldn't help myself I grew so attached to these characters.
