I actually really genuinely enjoyed this. The book is written from the pov of a 14 year old so it’s ‘childish’ in a sense, but for me it worked. The fact that this book was written by a 17 women really changed the way I read this and I think the empathy and understanding that she has to be able to write a story like this at such a young age is amazing. I liked the characters and it was a quick and easy read. I wouldn’t say that I was overcome by any particular emotions or that this book will leave a really lasting impact on me, it was just good read and I was fond of it.
