The Hate U Give by Angie Thomas
5.0
I seriously don’t know what I should write about this book! Given the current situation of my country (Bangladesh), its so damn relatable that I want to cry…
If I want to say in simple words what this book is about, its about being oppressed.. How minor people (let it be in term of race, political view or simply money!) is always oppressed to the point that sometimes they loose the sense of right or wrong, or become too afraid of speaking out when faced injustice.
The story revolves around Starr. I loved how her character developed though out the story. I loved her parents, I loved sweet “SEVEN”, Kenya, Maya, Chris!! I loved how adorable their family is. I really envied her for having such a supportive family. Life is hard, but its even harder when your parents don’t have your back.
The story made me cry. Sweet happy cry, ugly cry, angry cry.. You name it!!
A. MUST. READ. FOR. EVERYONE!!
Of course, My rating for this book is 5/5 ❤
A SHOUT OUT to the Author for writing such an amazing story!! Girl, You don’t know how MANY of us BANGLADESHI’s are now reading this book and feeling like you spoke about us too…
And, one last quote for the kids and youths of BANGLADESH..
