I would've liked it even if the paranormal aspects had been superficial, because the EMOTIONS. But Marlowe obviously cares deeply about high strangeness. From the first mention of Bigfoot as an alien, to Mothguy, to making sure the audience knew that there are problematic conspiracies and not giving them the time of day, I knew this would become a favorite book.

Hallie and Hayden are my new favorite couple ever, and their dynamic is FANTASTIC. I cried a hundred times, and laughed even more.
