It feels like it's been forever since I got to read a Kings Of Retribution MC book but the wait was worth it. This book is Seeking Peace which is the 10th book in this series by Sandy Alvarez and Crystal Daniels. They have brought us Ember and Blakes's story and all the problems that follow each other of them since they both have haunted pasts they've never gotten over. Their pasts are the main plots points of this story.
Ember has been a club girl ever since the club helped rescue her years before. She's always had a connection with Blake who is one of the club's tattoo artists. Blake had a heartbreaking childhood and the choices he made led him to the Kings where he finally found the family he never had. Ember comes from a very prestigious controlling family that never loved her. Before they even have a chance to deal with that so they can be together Bellamy shows up at the clubhouse looking for Blake. She turns out to be his half-sister and needs his help. The club takes her in just like they did Ember but trouble soon follows. Their town has also been having multiple robberies they are trying to take care of. Ember's sister Scarlett also shows up looking for her because she's done being controlled by their parents. Ember is so proud of her until the unthinkable happens and she wants nothing more than to send her back to school where she'll be safe.
I gave this a 4-star rating and a 3-spicy rating. All of the main characters - Ember, Blake, Bellamy & Scarlett- have been through hell and back, and now they are ready to be strong and thrive, getting past all the hell they've been through. The connection between Ember and Blake is beautiful. It's nice to see a biker that just needs to sleep next to a woman and not just use her, you don't see that often. I can't wait to see what is yet to come.
