The Order of Time by Carlo Rovelli
5.0
(listened to audiobook)
What's it about
The Order of Time a very approachable science book on time written by a quantum physicist. It's short, only 4 hours as an audiobook. It starts by saying what time is not: it does not run at the same speed everywhere, there is no such thing as "now" in another place ("now" can only be based on your current position. etc.).. It then discusses a bit on how time can be interpreted based on recent scientific advances, and goes into some philosophical musings.
What did I think?
I really liked The Order of Time! I appreciated how easy it was to follow things. The audiobook is narrated by Benedict Cumberbatch who did a great job. There were some references to diagrams/drawings. Makes me want to reread it in physical form. I don't normally reread books, but The Order of Time is so good that I might. 5 stars!
