what even was this book

where things come back is about, among other things, birds, angels, zombies, books from the Bible, and everything in between.

i just think it would be best going into this book not knowing a lot about it, because i read it without knowing anything about it and i'm completely blown away.

what can i say? books about small towns just never lose their charm for me. this book was a lot deeper than i expected, and a lot more meaningful. it was also a lot sadder, and made me feel all kinds of emotion for each character. this book was also told from different point of views, some in first person and some in third person, which i found added a lot to the overall mood of the story and was very interesting.

every character just had so much depth and made me feel all of the things. also: the symbolism in this book is absolutely amazing and i'm still just sitting here dumbfounded by everything.

if you want a book that makes you think, pick this one up because it will make you theorize like crazy.

highly recommend this book, will definitely read john corey whaley's other book and any other future books because he is just amazing.
