I’m not one for romance novels, but as I sit here rocking my own newborn, I figured I would give this one a try.

Bastone does an amazing job of weaving a story with likable characters and the journey to motherhood. She inserts all the little cliches of pregnancy, the nuances that tend to be forgotten about, and the roller coaster of emotions that course through the body.

Sure the pregnancy was very text book like and not relatable to everyone (myself included). However it’s the coming together as a family,  and journey to motherhood that I think we all can relate to. It’s scary becoming a parent, even more frightening when you face it alone and watching Eve grow as she finds acceptance in her reality and love was magical.

It’s the realizing in the end, that even though so much changes when becoming a parent, that you can’t imagine a world where they don’t exist.
