Okay, so I read another one? So what? Maybe I’ll read another! What then?
This one was maybe a little better than the first since Liz wasn’t frolicking in the snow with Raahosh while people were freezing to death. She was also less “woman in distress” than Georgie was (although honestly I would be if I crash landed on an ice planet with aliens).
It was very caveman-y, all “mine mine mine” which I suppose is the trope this book leans into so I can’t fault it for that entirely I knew what I was getting into. However, I could do with the “I could take her while she’s sleeping” thoughts. No reason to contemplate rape.
The writing is very repetitive. “He’s tall. He’s gray. He’s grumpy.” You get it.
The main characters (although saying main characters suggests there were OTHER characters in this book than the main couple and there really wasn’t) developed a little by the end of the book so there’s that.
God, I might read the next one because Kira is so cute and the blurb looks like there is more plot… we’ll see!
I’m kinda having fun with these despite my Debby-downer reviews lmao
