Whenever a book claims to be funny, it never actually is. I’m realising that. Still, painfully corny attempts at humour aside, this book presents a look at the lasting effects of abusive parent-child relationships and the idea that our parents have the ability of haunting us, even when they’re no longer around. I thought the theme exploration in this was pretty solid but I wish I cared more about the characters…
