Remember the wild girl by Marie-Kristin Hofmann

I fully intend to buy this collection in print to put it on my shelf. It was such a simple and sweet collection of imagistic poetry and prose, inspired in equal parts by the changing of seasons and an isolated world during the COVID pandemic. In it, the poet mourns and longs for an idealist and metaphoric summer, and the love and wildness that she associates with it. As readers, we also see her gradual progression from pure longing and mourning to learning what it means to be focused on oneself - an important quality to take on in a time/season where there is little else to focus on.
