This book was a bit more chaotic than the first, and I didn’t love it quite as much.

BUT. 

I enjoyed seeing more of Jack. I liked seeing more of Briallen and her powers, and even a bit of where she came from. 

I’m enjoying that each of the mc’s are kind of with her on their own. They cross paths with the other guys every once in a while, but they aren’t all playing at one happy family, and it’s kind of nice. I like seeing each relationship develop differently and on its own. 

I will say that these books have been pretty obvious, with no real twists involved, so the focus is really much more on the relationships of Bri and the guys rather than any real espionage or detective-ing, even though it is a big part of the plot.
