Kon-Tiki by Thor Heyerdahl
4.0
Minus some of the post-WWII legacies in the book, including descriptive racism when referring to native people and a few wasteful environmental moments, the story is impressive. Six men set off on a raft for an incredible journey over thousands of miles, just to prove it can be done. From encounters with Whale Sharks to riding out tropical storms, they entered a marine world few of us have experienced.
