The Queen of Poisons by Robert Thorogood

4.0

Format: Audio

This was another fun instalment in the Marlow Murder Club series. I really like how with each book we learn more about our main characters, and I think that is particularly true of this volume. We have less of a specific focus on Judith (although she arguably remains the central character – there were a lot of ‘Judith and her friends’ in this book) and get to know Becks, Susie and Tanika better.

I think the plot was cleverly done – I definitely did not see the ending coming – and kept me guessing throughout. The mystery was engaging and this was a solid addition to the series. I look forward to seeing what comes next!
