So I hated this book for 75% of it. I hated the characters so much and was convinced Hendrix just will not write women well especially with Horrorstor being my worst read of 2023 so far.

But this turned around. The horror got really good and complex with real fear. I mean it's puppet/doll horror so it's already a creepy medium. The character development was good and I was absolutely not expecting the twists towards the end.

I'll have to give Hendrix some more chances since I had a lot of reservations about reading this after my Horrorstor read.
