An Island Princess Starts a Scandal by Adriana Herrera

Falls into similar trope pitfalls as the first book in the series: A Caribbean Heiress in Paris. Those pitfalls are having many many plot dumps that make me sleepy and lots of dialogue. The tension between Manuela and Cora was PALPABLE though. Like RED HOT. I don’t remember ACHIP being this sexy or maybe the sapphics are just outdoing the straights on this one. This one also focused more on the queer scene and art in 18th century Paris rather than commerce and trade in the World's Fair like the first one did which made it all the more interesting.
