I loved this book... how Lunde drew me into the inner worlds of the characters, and the intense emotionality it evoked in me. The settings of the three timeliness were completely diverse, as were the characters. I especially loved the historical narrative set in Russia and Mongolia, and the story arc of Mikhail. The ending was very satisfactory... neither happy nor disastrous... but ambiguous and complex as is life.
