I cannot begin to explain how obsessed I was with this book. Not only obsessed but angry, frustrated and upset but I could not put it down. It’s like if Lolita was told from Lo’s point of view but so much better. There were times where I felt the need to scream, at Vanessa, at the book or just in general. I do not at all blame Vanessa, you cannot blame the victim but sometimes you can’t help but feel frustrated when she doesn’t feel like the victim even though it’s clear to everyone else. This was so difficult to read at times but I couldn’t stop.
