Still Life by Louise Penny

Read this in my search for a new cozy mystery series to make my way through. I enjoyed the small-town setting and the fact that it takes place in Canada since I haven't read that many books that take place there. While I have heard that a lot of people struggled with the high number of POVs, I had no issue with that. In fact, I appreciated the way it delved more deeply into the lives of many residents of this small town compared to most cozy mysteries. The mystery itself kept me engaged throughout, and I found the resolution to be satisfying. However, my main issue with this book is the side plot involving a new young detective working with Gamache. I found this character to be insufferable, and I don't believe this plotline contributed anything significant to the overall story.
