I thought this was going to be a novella but I got duped and it’s a prequel for a book that isn’t out for another 3 months???? it was pretty good so this is super rude to leave me on this cliffhanger and i’m bitter. but the mafia vibes were good. solid levels of conflict and mystery while ramping up the tension between the two MCs/narrators. i can tell there is actual substance to the conflict beyond “will they or won’t they” so i’m looking forward to the release of book 1
