This was such a slog to get through. It’s a shame too, since the premise was so fun,
antennae are used deep underground, their senses robbed before being forced to endure copious amounts of pain. The cleaning, mechanical process of how the staff didn’t even see them as human.

But good lord the cliches in this book were atrocious. Every horror movie trope was jangled in this book like car keys. It took an inspired story and made it predictable.
