I wanted to like this book but it was so boring... so many lists, like the first and final third of the book is almost entirely composed of shopping lists and step by step construction information. The characters were mostly charming but very superficial: none of them really felt like they existed outside of Viv, and the organized crime stuff was genuinely silly. Also the blurb isn't lying about low stakes: every problem that arises is resolved almost immediately.
