This book has all the quality of a good book. Strong female character? check. A cute love interest? check. Fairytale retelling? damn it, check check check.
What I love about Cinder is she's not your typical female heroines. She's not perfect, she's not pretty, heck she's not even human. She's covered in oil most of the time, she loves machine and she actually has other friends she cares about (Iko, her sister..). When she went to the dance, she was not dressed up pretty. She was wet from the rain, she was dirty, and when every heads turn to look at her it wasn't from awe. But she overcame all of her flaw by being a good fucking person. She truly cares about the well being of others and not just herself. She doesn't get uncharacteristically violent when other people don't do what she wants. She's one of those rare characters that I found truly grow and it's fucking awesome. If i could rate this book 100/5 I would. God knows it deserves it.
